Getting More Customers
Here is how I help businesses get more customers.
The Basics
This is just an overview, but I hope you can copy my ideas and make them work for your business. There are certainly other ways to do marketing, this is just how I like to do it. If you like what you read and think you could benefit from working with me, click on the “Let’s Make Money Together” button at the top to fill out a form with some information about your business. If I think we’re a good fit, I’ll let you know.

Getting more customers in 2 basic steps:
-
Finding your competitive advantage. Why do customers choose you?
-
Showing people how your unique brand can make a positive impact in their lives

Your Unique Brand
Why should the customer care about your business? What makes you special? We need to understand your competitive advantage by taking a hard look at your business. In order for us to expand to new customers, we must understand why you are still in business. Why do customers choose to give you their money? There is a reason, and we need to find it.
Once we find out what sets your business apart, it’s time to amplify your brand. We aren’t going to just be showing off your product or services, we are going to be telling your unique story and showing customers how that special thing your company does can make a positive impact on their lives. We are also going to be presenting free value to your customers - information that customers can use to improve their lives before they even buy from you. This will give customers more confidence to buy. Since we now understand your existing customers so well, we can be confident that we can attract new customers who will value your business in a similar way.
Experimenting for success
First, just let me say that marketing is all about experimenting. We will do hundreds of little experiments with the goal of finding the best price to performance ratio. How do we get the most eyes on your brand for the least amount of money? How do we send our message to the right people for the least amount of money? How can we deliver our message in a format that people are actually going to pay attention to? You can show 1 million people an ad, but if nobody paid attention to it, or if it didn’t resonate with them, then that’s garbage, we would have wasted our money.
The bottom line is, we need to figure out the best way (or at least a decent way) of showing people your messaging before we start spending (wasting) a bunch of money on marketing channels that we “have a good feeling about”.
While we are figuring out the best price to performance ratio, we will also be learning the best way to communicate our message. I like to bundle getting people’s attention with showing them value and earning their trust. That way each time someone sees your brand, they can connect it in their head with the value you offer and why they can trust you. We don’t want to waste anyone's time or money with anything that doesn’t focus on these 3 goals.

Focusing on Trust and Value
This is basically how I like to market to people:
Getting their attention
Showing the value you offer
Earning their trust
Earning their Business
Earning their Loyalty by doing a good job over and over
-
May I have your ATTENTION?

Here is how we are the only ones who can add this unique value to your life

Here is why you can trust us

Since you value what we offer and your trust us, here is an easy way to buy from us

Thanks for being a customer. We will continue to add value to your life.
A lot of businesses make the mistake of starting at number 4 and then wonder why people aren’t buying their product or service. This part is important, but you can’t do it first because it builds off of everything else.
Take a second and think about it from your own perspective as a consumer. Think of all the junk emails and regular junk mail you get in your mailbox every day. That stuff goes right in the trash because it fails to get your attention. Or maybe, it does get your attention but then you realize that product or service doesn’t add any value to your life. Or maybe it gets your attention AND you think the product/service could add value, but you have nothing to go on about the company. They’ve shown you no evidence that they can be trusted with your money. It’s YOUR job as the business to conveniently show the customer your business can be trusted. One last thing I’ll say about this is that it should be EASY to buy from you. Once a customer decides they like you and what you offer, if it’s hard or annoying to actually buy the thing, it can be a deal breaker.
