About Brian Jones Media

Hi, I’m Brian and I offer just one service:

I help you get you new customers and sell more stuff to existing customers.

My Philosphy

I treat every business I help as if it were my own and I’m constantly focused on your return on investment. I’m going to aggressively experiment until I find a profitable strategy for your business and then once we find what actually gets you more customers, we put more money into it. This may sound like common sense, but many businesses and marketing agencies do not follow this line of thought.

Now, if I think I can’t make you more money and get you more customers, I’m going to tell you up front before we start anything, to save us both the time and headache. I’m also going to be straightforward with you and tell you that there have been some businesses I was not able to help. In those cases, I fired myself. I want to be an asset to your business, not a liability.

The only thing that matters

If you’re still reading, I want to let you know that despite my blunt tone in the paragraphs above, I’m actually very easy to work with.

The reason I’m blunt is because I want to deliver actual results, not just talk. In the marketing world and the business world at large, people will get lost in a sea of trends and business-speak. They start saying and repeating words they think sound smart or they get excited about the latest special “something”, convinced that it’s the ultimate solution.

I don’t like hearing all that noise because it distracts from the only real point of marketing:

Acquiring sales from customers profitably.

It doesn’t matter how fancy your new technology is, or how cutting edge the business strategies you're using are, If you are losing money doing marketing, then it’s not working.

Successful Marketing

From my experience, successful marketing comes from a combination of two on-going processes:

1. Discovering what makes your business special and the values you stand for. We can call this your “brand”. It’s constantly evolving as you continue to exist.

2. Experimenting with the way we communicate that brand to people. What words, pictures, videos and other stuff will we use to describe your brand? In what mediums will we communicate this message? Facebook? Google? TV? Radio? Yelling out the window to people passing by?

Now this is just how I think about it. It comes from the assumption that nobody really knows the “best” way to conduct marketing for their business. The people that do know the “best” way already made it happen and are filthy rich. So this is why I pose to you that marketing is an on-going process of discovery and experimenting. We have to constantly refine a better and better message that resonates with potential customers, and get that message out to your potential customers as cheaply and as effectively as possible.
